Femininity is a linchpin of human life
On womanhood, creation, and sanctification for International Women's Day
Well, as is quite literally always the case, International Women’s Day has snuck up on me yet again. (#momlife)
I have to admit I often feel a bit daunted by this day, so great is the urgency with which I have had in the past to refute and rebut all the feminist nonsense that is perpetuated for the occasion.
However, this year, it occurs to me that my entire platform is itself the only rebuff or rebuttal that is needed to accomplish this task. So thank you very much for being here and supporting this cause year-round.
That said, in truth, it’s not rebuffs or rebuttals the world really needs.
The world simply needs feminine women to live out the values we’d otherwise merely be arguing intellectually online.
Why “feminine” women? Because it is feminine women who live at harmony with their womanhood, a state of being that a great many women these days, sadly, do not.
This is why the world needs feminine women.
Women who fear God and love the bodies and beings He gave us. We do not degrade, resent, or exploit this created feminine image of the Divine, but rather embrace, steward, and submit to the order of Divine Creation.
As women, we are the glory of the glory of Creation. But it is only by exercising the virtue of faith in a loving God that we are redeemed and made whole, new, and perfect in Him.
The path to female salvation is through a Man, the Man Jesus Christ, and yet femininity was also the vehicle through which He came into the world and through which so many of God’s mercies are poured out upon and demonstrated to humankind as a whole.
Femininity is essential to humanity.
Perhaps the greatest lie of 20th-century feminism was de Beauvoir’s errant declaration that “One is not born but becomes a woman,” as though a woman would be hardly distinguishable from a man if it were not for the stuffy confines of civilized Christian society.
One is not only born a woman, but she is created woman, by the One Who etched the truth of her worth in Him into the confines of the universe and our very tissues, cells, and female DNA.
What a disgrace it has been to humanity to try to make women no different from men and buck God’s design for sex and sexuality.
Without women, there would never be a humanity in the first place and without God, there would literally be nothing at all.
So embrace and praise God for your womanhood today, my friends, and with that I shall wish you and yours a very happy and very feminine International Women’s Day.
