I am cozy inside on a very cold day following a very happily successful slaughter of one of our goats this morning.
The task had been daunting me for weeks so I’m so glad to have gotten it done — and to have learned a thing or two about the process that my husband reminded me this morning we’ll be doing for some time!
You see, we raise meat goats, and intend to do so as long as it’s productive for our goal of meat independence.
